Bylaw Review and Vote
The Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has completed a comprehensive review and revision of the Chamber bylaws to improve organizational clarity, strengthen governance practices, and align the bylaws with current California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation requirements and Chamber operations.
All Chamber members are encouraged to carefully review the proposed revised bylaws. The revised bylaws include updates related to Board governance, membership procedures, officer responsibilities, committee structure, quorum requirements, fiscal oversight, conflict of interest standards, and other operational procedures.
A vote of the membership to approve the revised bylaws will be open until May 29th.
In accordance with the current bylaws, notice of the proposed revisions is being provided to the membership at least ten (10) days prior to the vote.
Questions, comments, or recommendations regarding the proposed revisions may be submitted to the Chamber at info@lakealmanorarea.com or Board of Directors prior to May 29th.
Board of Directors Ballot
The Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce membership is hereby invited to participate in the election of members to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors serves an important leadership role in guiding the Chamber’s mission, programs, financial stewardship, and long-range planning efforts on behalf of the business community and the Lake Almanor Basin service area.
Eligible Chamber members in good standing are encouraged to review the slate of candidates and cast their vote at the upcoming membership by May 29th.
Voting members may vote for the candidates of their choice in accordance with the Chamber bylaws. Election results will be announced at the June 3rd Chamber Board meeting following the completion of ballot tabulation.
