In 2021, we debuted our first Community Tree Lighting and over 200 community members and visitors came to celebrate the holiday season with music, candlelight carols, desserts, drinks, games and more. We are happy to announce that we have been able to purchase a commercial tree that can be stored off-season. Maintaining the lights on the Veteran's Tree located near the Chester Library and Plumas Sheriff's Station became too costly as the tree continues to grow and the lights break or get tangled.
